Invitation to Unknown Asia Extra Asian Art Exchange 2019

I was flattered to have the opportunity to be in this “Extra” exhibition as only 16 artists out of 300 were invited to show their works for another month in Osaka.  On the opening day, there was an artist tour and every artist had a time slot to present our works to the audiences.  What really made my day was, out of my expectation, there was an art journalist there among the crowd and he wrote a really nice and positive review about my new photo series “Light will prevail”.  I was glad that the art I made could touch people’s heart and they could feel me through my artworks.  This is the most happiest thing for an artist I guess, at least for me.  I was moved too when I read it.  Thank you Toshikazu Masaki-san from Sankei News Paper for the review.  Last but not least, thank you very much Unknown Asia and Daibiru Corporation for having me.

Unknown Asia Art Exchange 2019 in Osaka

Unknown Asia is an annual art event in Osaka and it lasted for 3 days.  This year around 300 artists, including painters, illustrators, designers, photographers and artists from other disciplines, participated.  It was quite an eye-opening experience for me as I seldom saw other type of works like illustration up close.  This was also the first time for me to join such a large scale art fair so this was kinda an experience as I gotta handle everything from designing, setting up to installing.  Thank you very much for the Hong Kong team who has provided lots of support in both hands-on work as well as emotional perspectives.  I was happy to meet new friends and saw new types of art in these 3 days.  Great event and great experience.

Exhibition in Kaohsiung - August 2019

On a planet where no one seems around, my mind is swallowed by the mountain ranges and glacier masses.  Even though I am forgotten by the world, anyway the wind blows.  Like poem, like song, it is telling its story of being forgotten also, wandering without resting.  While listening to it, the time stops suddenly, and at the same moment, I am back to where there is no world.
