THE DEFORMATION OF NARCISSUS [2014]

Continued living alone in a foreign country drowns me into a state of unconscious self-indulgence, like Narcissus in the Greek mythology. I deformed myself in a glass of water while the upside-down of the image intents to give a deformed sensation to the viewers. Both artist and viewers experience deformation but in a different stage of the process. This photo is a self-portrait.

This photo was awarded "Honourable Mention" in Prix de la Photographie Paris Competition (px3) in France in 2014.
